Frequently Asked Questions

There is no minimum group size. We keep the groups small so that everybody gets the utmost attention from the instructor.

There are no specific rules but I would recommend wearing tight clothing such as leggings or shorts, as loose clothing may obstruct your movement. The most important thing is to wear clothing you feel comfortable in. For footwear, some people wear grippy socks or go barefoot, and you can also wear trainers. Always let your instructor know if you feel your feet are slipping.

Just a mat, your body, and enthusiasm!

You should let your instructor know if you have a heart condition or high blood pressure, as they may need to adapt some of the exercises for your needs. You should not take part in classes if you are pregnant, or less than 6 weeks postpartum.

If you cancel up to 48 hours before the start time of your scheduled session, you will be refunded a credit which you can use when booking another class.

If you’re late then please just enter the class as quietly as possible, so as not to disturb the class. You are welcome to join the class, but please be aware that the instructor won’t be able to go back over any of the exercises that were missed, due to the structure and order of the exercises.

Currently we only offer group sessions at Thame Cricket Club and Unit Studio Long Crendon, however, we do offer private sessions within a 5-mile radius of Thame.

Not at all, group classes are for mixed ability and all the exercises can be adapted to suit your needs and capabilities.

Pilates works on both strength and flexibility, while using focused breathing techniques to improve the connection between body and mind, helping you feel better both physically and mentally. It works our deep core muscles so expect these to be sore the day after!

Our instructors take the utmost care and attention to reduce any risk of injury. That said, no exercise is completely risk free. Always let your instructor know if you are carrying any injuries to avoid aggravation.

Pilates is for any age, but for my classes, I cater for 18-60 year olds. If you are outside of that age range, please contact us and we can discuss what would be possible.
